After a seemingly blessed crossing, Vikings reach the monastery of Lindisfarne. What begins as a raid becomes an irreversible mistake. Some things are not spoils. They are safeguards.

The story is rooted in real history, but unfolds where documentation ends. It builds on what was never written down.

This short film was developed through GRAiL, after winning a pitch for a major international TV network. The brief was not to make an “AI film”, but to explore what remains of a director’s point of view when AI becomes part of the production pipeline and the director stays in control.
